When I try to send from a wallet, I am presented a QR code with the instructions below stating "Transaction created. Present this QR code to the signing device."

What signing device? I am only running Electrum on Android mobile...

Thank you for any help!

Sounds like you created a hardware wallet or a watch-only wallet with a master public key.  Do you remember the steps you took to create the wallet?

Do you have a 12-word (or 24-word) seed phrase?  I probably don't need to say this, but don't post the seed phrase here or your coins will be stolen.

It may be a watch version of the same wallet.  Where is the wallet with seed?  On a PC or some other device?  If so, you can check there to see if the funds are still there.

If you have the seed you can try creating another wallet in Electrum on your android, just make sure you select the "standard wallet" option, then  "I already have a seed."  Then follow the prompts to input your seed.

Thank you I'll try reimporting. Will that screw up the current iteration of that wallet I already have loaded into electrum or should I delete that first?

So the wallet with seed is also imported and functional for send/receive in electrum. I must've accidentally created this watch only and sent to it from that one if that makes any sense?

It would be great if you can distinctly remember the details because you're not the first to report such issue in the [QML UI] Mobile version
It'll benefit Electrum users if you discovered an undetected bug (that can be reproduced) that may have caused those reports.

If you don't remember what happened, then that's the only logical reason why you have that watch-only wallet.

Good news!

AFAIK, that's not possible without having done so deliberately.  I don't know how long ago you made the watch-only wallet but if it was some time ago, maybe you did it on purpose for security reasons.  To create a watch only wallet you must have the hot-wallet active on a device so you can extract the master public, which is then used to create the watch-only.

As nc50lc suggested, it would be helpful to others if you could remember the details and recount them here.

Regardless, I'm glad it all worked out well for you.  Happy bitcoining.

So I definitely did not do it for security reasons, and after reimporting the wallet I sent from and assumed held the private keys, I am unfortunately at a loss for what wallet this watch only is related to. Electrum definitely has a bug associated in here somewhere, I've read dozens of similarly confusing stories.

I have no idea whatsoever how this wallet was formed or which private keys are associated with it.

I don't understand which wallet it is "watch only" for if i have the seeds for the only other 3 wallets in my electrum wallet and reloading them into another wallet (sparrow) still doesnt give me the watch only...

I'd add there is no master xpub associated/visible either. Wallet info shows literally nothing.

Also, when holding the Receive button, it shows zero pending requests, and there are no addresses associated

Unfortunately, it can't be reported as a bug without clear recollection, logs or anything that can help the developers reproduce a possible bug.

QML UI Mobile Electrum does that, click on Address (if URI is selected), then its QR Code to switch from 'QR Code' to 'Address' view.

Can you say *when* the wallet was initially created? Or, if you know, which version of Electrum?
