So I definitely did not do it for security reasons, and after reimporting the wallet I sent from and assumed held the private keys, I am unfortunately at a loss for what wallet this watch only is related to. Electrum definitely has a bug associated in here somewhere, I've read dozens of similarly confusing stories.
I have no idea whatsoever how this wallet was formed or which private keys are associated with it.
So the wallet with seed is also imported and functional for send/receive in electrum.
Good news!
I must've accidentally created this watch only and sent to it from that one if that makes any sense?
AFAIK, that's not possible without having done so deliberately. I don't know how long ago you made the watch-only wallet but if it was some time ago, maybe you did it on purpose for security reasons. To create a watch only wallet you must have the hot-wallet active on a device so you can extract the master public, which is then used to create the watch-only.
As nc50lc suggested, it would be helpful to others if you could remember the details and recount them here.
Regardless, I'm glad it all worked out well for you. Happy bitcoining.
I don't understand which wallet it is "watch only" for if i have the seeds for the only other 3 wallets in my electrum wallet and reloading them into another wallet (sparrow) still doesnt give me the watch only...
I'd add there is no master xpub associated/visible either. Wallet info shows literally nothing.
Also, when holding the Receive button, it shows zero pending requests, and there are no addresses associated
