Seriously, from my experience availability is "intermittent", i.e. normally if you try again after some hours often there are some available. And as they're working with their own reserves without purchasing liquidity, the relative shortage can be expected due to relatively few exchanges offering XMR.

XMR shortage may also be caused by the recent Kraken delisting in some European countries. Such delistings can lead to price drops of the XMR/USD price due to selling on the exchanges where the coin is delisted (because some users who have bought XMR for speculation usually don't want to bother with self-hosted wallets) without really having effect on the rest of the supply/demand equilibrium. This means that after such price drops the demand on other exchanges can drastically increase. It was extreme after the Binance delisting, but on a smaller scale, this was possibly what happened after the Kraken delisting too.

But maybe everything is different. If they accept dirty public coins for Monero. Then the 5% fee is really ridiculously small, because it is usually 20% or more. Then suddenly everything is understandable. If that's the case, long may this business last until someone starts harassing them officially. But then they have low fees compared to others.

In any business model, if there is a consensus then it will have an effect. If people using eXch decide they do not want to use it for XMR because of the 5% fee then they are free to go elsewhere. As a result, it is the prerogative of the eXch team if they decided to lower the fee or not.

Everyone in that community is buying as much XMR as they can, so it wouldn't surprise me if even other platforms have a liquidity shortage.

It was explained to him several times and in several ways how the swap on the eXch exchange works and the dependence on demand and supply, but somehow he refuses to understand. It seems like some of our competitors are really angry and frustrated to the point of being unable to do anything useful for their own business but going here under new accounts and talk random nonsense about eXch...
Our customer base grows daily while theirs decrease due to their AML/KYC scam business model that people don't want to buy anymore in the light of having better alternatives.
Just look what have we done here by ruining long-term plans of some projects that assumed bitcoiners are obedient sheep...
Not even to mention that this guy is not of the most annoying species.

This is a typical shill post for some obscure service. I looked a bit at the XMR offer on tradeogre, there is in total less than 300XMR in all open orders, which only supports the claim that you are trolling against eXch.

I wouldn't be surprised if he actually buys XMR on eXch and sells on other exchanges like the one he mentioned. He does some kind of arbitrage trading. That would explain why he has a problem if he doesn't always and immediately have XMR available to buy.

It's not pleasant to see such things, but I think that people who want to see the truth can easily recognize when someone without facts is telling lies.
