In my opinion I don't think that your state of mind has anything to do with this, sports betting isn't affected by how you think it's just a game that the outcome is Based on your knowledge, skills and luck. For me, such a mindset will not affect the outcome on sports betting. And it is more suitable if such a mindset is used in poker games. Because in a poker game you have full control whether you believe you will win when you go all in or you choose to fold when you have a bad feeling. Whereas sports betting always has surprising results as if we don't control the outcome of the match.
I used to have that kind of thinking when I was confident of getting profit from sports betting but the results were still random. And when I started betting casually without having such thoughts the results were the same. So that kind of mindset is just a suggestion that may or may not happen in sports betting. But in skill based games, such a mindset can affect the winning results.

At first, this seems good but I think I will also look on the situation at first hand. Say if I'm sure with my picks and then I see a friend that is struggling financially, then I might encourage them to join me, for them to also make money. You can’t do a good analysis if you can think straight that can affect heavily your decision making when choosing the right be. I believe this is the main point of the discussion on thread.

All those skills, mind set and other factor will not be use properly if you can think properly.

Yes, every bet requires proper analysis, but these analysis are not really all that is required to secure a win, because gambling is unpredictable and it'll only take someone with some sort of psychic abilities to be able to accurately use his skills to make an accurate predictions. Else, what else are all doing is trying how lucky we are, because even with your analysis and predictions, there's still 100% chances of losing, so don't ever think it's your skills and analysis alone that made you win, they sure increased your chances of winning, but the actual win is determined by how lucky you really are.

It takes a lot to become very profitable in sports betting in my country there is no one I know who is a successful sports bettor. Even the so called punters, they have their other non-sports betting side-hustles. Some of these so called successful punters are not successful the money they flaunt are their what the particular sports bookie they work will give them sort of like that "insider" tip that we discussed about some time ago on the forum. I agree. I don't expect gambling to change my life, at least financially. I've accepted the fact that there's a high chance we'll end up losing more than we've earned. I'm not only thinking about winning; losing is part of the game as well. In terms of gambling, I'm mostly involved in sports betting on football games. So far, I can confidently claim that I've earned a decent sum of money; it's certainly not life-changing, nor do I accurately know how much that is. I'm not an experienced bettor or an analyst by any means, but I believe that sports betting actually has higher chances than regular casino games.

There's no need to even have an argument because been profitable means that it has to be consistent when bringing money for you. But gambling is more of the losses than wins. So what's the need to try making your mind set all about the wins? If you dont face reality of what will likely happen when you gamble too much you may become addicted without knowing or just loss too much of your funds because you believe that some day you would win. But imagine winning just one out of 10 losses and not even able to cover up all the money you had lost...

Sport betting and poker require skills, but on a different level. For poker, your skill can guarantee your success unless you meet an upper hand who is more skillful than you, but for sport betting, you can't always get it right. You can make your prediction based on the historical data you have, but things can change once a match kicks off. If someone tells me that I am an impossible gambler to make a profit in sportsbetting in the long term, it will be fine. I won't think about that person because it's a normal notion for those who have heard gambling with bad stories. I might even thank of them if that is so if that's the case because people like them could be concerned to my welfare and they want me to stop.
