Is there anything new about the Bitstamp API because I still have Electrum version 4.5.5 and it already has a price API called BitStamp as it can be seen from the screenshot I posted below.

Is there anything new about the Bitstamp API because I still have Electrum version 4.5.5 and it already has a price API called BitStamp as it can be seen from the screenshot I posted below.

The update indicates that it's for historical exchange rates, on the other hand the drop-down menu only defaults to price API source.

Tick "Download historical rates" and those two options will be unavailable in older versions.

I noticed that Electrum is no longer able to connect to my electrum server, even though I have never changed my server's conf file. 

Version 4.5.8 is now available with very few changes:

I noticed that Electrum is no longer able to connect to my electrum server, even though I have never changed my server's conf file. 

What error do you get? Check the debug log of the client.

Three updates in seven days... we don't see this often with Electrum wallet, but at least we know developers are active and working on the code all the time.
It would be good if they could also contribute a bit for Bisq lite client project that is also going to be based on Electrum wallet:

That's weird we are using the same version of Electrum, but yours shows more options than mine, even the new Bitstamp and Bitfinex.

Did you carefully check the version of your Electrum wallet, and perhaps you just downloaded the most recent version?

Try changing it to the 'Select server automatically' option in the Electrum Network settings. Restart Electrum, and try changing the settings again using your Electrum Server.
