Who would've thought the brain wallet would be Peter Todd’s method of choice for storing his crypto stash? I came acrossthis bit of info today and was honestly shocked.
To me, relying solely on human memory for something so critical seems incredibly risky. Memory can fail without warning.
Personally, I wouldn’t recommend following in Peter Todd’s footsteps when choosing the wallet.
This is so dumb. I don't know what is worse: Peter Todd relying on his memory alone for storing his seed phrase or this BTCC media outlet writing about it and mentioning it to its readers as a viable method. It doesn't even matter how sharp a person's mind is or how easy that someone can memorize things. One slip on an icy road followed by a head injury can change so many things.

I also noticed another error while making use of two devices for the same wallet, if you make use of another device to broadcast a transaction, the other device balance may later not correct as it will not include the transaction as spent.
Synchronization issues is something I noticed with Unstoppable Wallet the first time I tested it and it immediately gave me bad vibes and I didn't like it. This is again something related to the wallet not syncing properly. Does the problem at least get fixed after the transaction confirms on the blockchain or after a restart of the app or do the wrong balances remain for a lengthier time?

If I need help from customer service 95% of the time I need a human.

which means the bots become a waste of time as I have to wade through the bullshit to get a real person to fix the issue.

So In general they cost me time.
I see it the same way. The system is unfortunately often set up in a way so that you can't avoid them. A few weeks ago I needed to speak with the support personnel of a popular crypto service. They have e-mail support but also live chat. Since the latter is faster, I contacted them via the chat. You can't speak to a human until you tell the bot what your issue is about and receive at least one automated reply. If the feedback to that reply is negative, the bot offers to connect you to a real person. In my case, the bot couldn't solve my inquiry. So it's exactly as you said. I wasted a few minutes getting generic information that wasn't at all related to my case.
4  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Table] Withdrawal Fees and Withdrawal Amounts on Crypto Casinos on: Today at 07:18:01 AM
Did someone created any bot or used some AI tools to check withdrawal fees on all this casinos, or you are still have to do everything manually?
All changes I ever made in this topic were done after manual checks. I don't know of a bot that can get the needed information and whose accuracy we can trust. Mahdirakib already mentioned why. Generally, changes in minimum withdrawal amounts and fees is something you can expect after bigger increases or decreases in Bitcoin's value. Casinos will then usually adjust to the new market realities in an attempt to stay above the competition.

Which is why it's so important that we protect mixers, especially the ones that purify AML scores. They're the only ones stopping this nonsense.
I have never thought about taint that much or used a service to provide me with feedback regarding the "cleanliness" or "dirtiness" of some of my coins, but when you say that we need to protect mixers that purify AML scores and make them better, do you have certain names in my mind? You probably can't mention them as it might be against the 'mixers are banned' rule and I understand that, so let me formulate the question differently: Are there certain mixers that you know of or have tested that can take "very tainted" bitcoin, mix them, and turn the outputs into "less tainted" or "clean" bitcoin? And they wouldn't make your coins even more "dirty" or "suspicious" because you used a mixer?

I have noticed this since a long time on Unstoppable wallet. I waited to know if there will be any changes but I did not see any changes till now.

Cancel transaction is still good but to increase the fee to doublespend a coin is affected. If you want to increase the fee, it will display 'unable to replace'
In other words, replacing an older transaction in Unstoppable Wallet with a new one that pays more in fees currently doesn't work.

Another thing is that people will prefer increase in the fee to be in the fee rate which is sat/vbyte than to be in sat or bitcoin. The fee is set in sat/vbyte while making the transaction, then why change it when someone wants to increase the fee or make use of cancel transaction.
You must definitely have an option to enter how much you wish to pay in sats per vByte and not in total. Each transaction is different, depending on the number of inputs & outputs, addresses, and scripts. It makes no sense to have the user enter the total transaction fee amount instead of using the same approach that other wallets use. Weird choice they made there.

What happens if you press the info logo located above the line where you entered your fees? Does it display any additional information, like sats/vByte?
Have you checked the settings for a way to change this?

I certainly can't tell them to buy hardware wallets when they don't even know the basic stuff.
That's a problem they will have to figure out, or if not, face the consequences. Too many people approach Bitcoin and crypto in general too lightly. You can't save those people from themselves. It's even worse if they have money to invest. The more they have, the higher the odds that they will be scammed. If the money is tight, at least there is not much scammers can steal from them.

We live in a world of one-click-fix-it-all solutions. If it takes more effort than that, they lose interest.

I think that both gambling platforms and exchanges would prefer to replace support agents with AI bots, but for now, it's ineffective.
We are getting there. It's going to take a while, but it will happen. There already are many services where you first speak to an AI bot who analyzes your questions and offers answers based on documentation in the site's FAQ, T&Cs, and other sources. Only if they can't solve your problem or you are not satisfied with the support, you can ask to be connected to a human agent who will handle your inquires.

I won't celebrate if he gets arrested, and I won't take any sides here, but he should learn something from this.
That's not going to happen. He is incapable of it. Plus, that would be admitting he was wrong in the past and he is never going to do that.

In his sick head, you are the scammer and thief and I am a scammer and a thief. We have both advertised mixing services in the past. Some of them got taken down by law enforcement, which again the sick head associates with us and our scamming habits. Some mixers where used by North Korea hackers and placed on OFAC sanctions list. The sick head again points to how big scammers we are and how wrong it was to allow such individuals to use privacy tools. Remember how loud he was in pointing out that he would never allow people like SBF to have privacy.

Now, when the sick head's coordinator is mentioned in a report by US law enforcement in connection with the Lazarus Group, he believes he is the good and moral guy. After all, Wasabi is open-source. How can anything Kruw says or does be wrong and bad. Roll Eyes

That's called fiction.
12  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: 🔥 GingerWallet.io - Desktop, Non-custodial, Open source | #CoinJoin on: June 14, 2025, 06:50:50 AM
Maybe Ginger Wallet should start looking at ways that might help increase their use.
There are two ways in which they can do that. One is to create something truly unique that the other Wasabi coordinators currently don't support. I am not sure what that is but it has to be significant enough to signal a turning point and increase the popularity of Ginger Wallet. The other way is to further decrease their coinjoin fees, which would obviously have direct consequences on their profits.

Is there any alternative to eXch which also offers bitcoin without or atleast low AML score?
I suggest that you take a look at https://kycnot.me/?categories=exchange. Btw, I just noticed that the site has been completely redesigned. You have filters on the left, so feel free to tick and untick anything you want to add or omit from your search. The higher the rating, the more privacy features a service supports. You can click on each individual exchange to open more detailed information about the service.

Overall, I don't think any privacy-preserving exchange will have too good an AML rating. They stand on two different sides of the battlefield.

I noticed some complaints about the responsiveness of customer support on different platforms, too. I wonder what the exact cause for that because it's really frustrating if the only response we got is to be patient. What's the biggest downside when a casino reports the problem to the user? Is there a legal problem or something? I feel like this thing happens a lot, even on other platforms. Just a few days ago, I faced a similar issue on my local exchange. Fortunately, I can solve it easily, even though the support isn't helpful at all.
I think a lot of it is compartmentalized. You have different teams working on different things. They run their own investigations, and don't always share (all) information with low-level support. So even if the support wanted to, they couldn't answer all the user's questions.

Then we have the support teams themselves. Casinos won't hire and pay expensive staff to work as support agents. They handpick the cheapest individuals from countries with the lowest standards of living. You can't get the best results unless you hire the best people qualified for the job and pay them enough.
17  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wasabi Wallet - Total Privacy For Bitcoin on: June 13, 2025, 07:28:00 AM
If I understand your logic correctly, somebody who never takes possession of user funds and is only running a coordination service allowing users to collaborate trustlessly in making transactions is a North Korean accomplice, but a centralized custodial exchange who directly handled the hacked Ethereum are blameless victims? That’s hypocrisy at its finest.
It's not hypocrisy at all. You are forgetting one very important aspect. Kruw is a scumbag who doesn't use logic and reasoning when posting his messages, communicating with others, and thus Kruw logic should be used against him. His Kruw logic concluded that BlackHatCoiner, myself, the late o_e_l_e_o, and many others are all thieves who steal money every day. Kruw logic also can't differentiate between law enforcement confiscating data from a centralized service and the centralized service willingly handling that data over. Kruw logic will knowingly lie. Kruw logic attacks centralized mixers for being anti-privacy but advertises a service that voluntarily funded blockchain analysis companies - the enemies of privacy.

We have to use the same standards. Let's call it the Kruw logic standard. Based on that, Kruw is a proven scammer and money launderer for the Lazarus Group who needs to return the money that he stole together with his North Korean partners. If you have a problem with that, maybe you don't like Kruw logic or the Kruw logic standard. In that case, take it up with Kruw. Maybe you will find flaws in his overall logic and reasoning but don't apply one standard when it comes to others and a different one when it comes to Kruw.
18  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ♻️ CCE.Cash - Instant & Automatic Exchange! on: June 13, 2025, 07:02:27 AM
I don't know how to say this, but for example, you think that your coins are dirty, but when you exchange them, they turn out to be clean.
This often happens, but you shouldn't hope that it will always be like this. Sometimes you need to test theory in practice.
It goes the other way as well. You think there is nothing even slightly suspicious about these coins I have and then they can get frozen and the exchange starts asking questions. I am speaking in general terms and not pointing fingers at CCE.Cash here. Not everyone will be interested in testing and playing with their money just to see if the service will allow them to swap or not. It's risky, especially if you don't want to reveal anything about yourself to the exchange or can't explain the origin of the coins.

If I had a shop and my business policy was that I can allow you to shop but maybe I will confiscate your money and call the police on you for some reason, you would never walk into my shop. Somehow this kind of behavior has become acceptable in crypto.

Neću te bashat u glavnom threadu, ali jel nam možeš pojasnit šemu.

U ANN-u kazes NO KYC i YES VPN, no terms of use su ti dosta agresivni oko svega.
Možda šutnja na tu temu govori sve. Shocked
